Kwankwaso Intensifies Lobby for South West Endorsement, Visits Akande, Tinubu, Others

A presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress and Kano State Governor Malham Ibrahim Kwankwaso has intensified his lobbying of critical stakeholders especially in the South West part of the country.

Within the last three days, Kwankwaso has travelled accross the region moving to swing support in his favour.

It was learnt that Kwankwaso has found it hard to extract serious commitment from leaders of the party especially governors during his tour of the region.

An inside source said the aspirant met with former Governor of Lagos State Asiwaju Bola Tinubu but was unable to get Tinubu's nod.
The source revealed that kwankwaso had to see the Osun state governor Rauf Aregbesola Chief Bisi Akande former chairman of the party outgoing Ekiti Governor Kayode Fayemi to seek to convince Tinubu to see him as a better option for the party over former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Head of state Muhammadu Buhari.

"Kwankwaso has been to all of them. Yes it appears some of them see reasons in his aspiration but looks like the critical decision makers from this zone have not seen that yet," said the source.

It was also learnt that Kwankwaso was billed to meet major royal fathers of tye zone in the course of his visit.

However it was gathered that Kwankwaso had to postpone his visit to the Ooni of Ife till another day.
