Engineer Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, governor of Kano state and one of the Presidential aspirants on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC), today on the old parade ground in Abuja, formally declares his interest for presidential race.
It would be recalled that the red cap governor, who attracted a mammoth crowd at the declaration venue, has worked tirelessly to ensure infrastructural development of his state, Kano, as well as paying much attention to education.
Popularly known among his people as Kwankwasiya Amana, he has also put in place solid structures that support adult education with the belief that all must be educated.
Speaking nationally, Chibuike Amaechi, governor of Rivers State, charged the people to get their voters cards and vote in favour of whoever emerges as the presidential flag bearer of the party.
A party member, a young woman from the south-southern region of the country, on her part enjoined the people to vote Kwankwaso claiming that his activities in governing Kano State is clear and transparent, the sort needed of a leader to rule Nigeria.
Present at the declaration venue also are Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State, Kayode Fayemi, Chris Ngige alongside some other chieftains of the party.
