The Governor of Kwara State, Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed has announced a major cabinet shake up in which all members of his cabinet were dissolved.
Announcing the dissolution after a post executive council briefing, Alhaji Isiaka Sola Gold, the Secretary to the State Government, SSG said that the governor thanked all disengaged members of his cabinet for working with him since he came into office as the executive governor of Kwara state.
Responding on behalf of other members of the cabinet, Aljhaji Saka Onimago, the immediate past Commissioner for education thanked the governor for the opportunity given them to serve the in his government and serve the state withing the short period adding that they would be ready to serve him again whenever called upon in future.
The sacked members of Cabinet included all commissioners, all Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants.
In attendance at the press briefing were Dr Muyideen Femi Akorede, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, the Alhaji Abdulwahab Oba and the Chief Press Secretary.
Earlier in the week, the cabines shake up was being speculated in some quotas in view of the rising rumours of disloyalty among the cabinet members and also the forth coming elections adding that possibly some of the sacked cabinet members may come back after their loyalty is proved by delivering their wards and local governments areas to the ruling PDP in the state.
