Pilot And Co-Pilot Survive Crashlanding Of Nigerian Plane In Niger Republic

A Fokker 100 aircraft owned by IRS airlines has crash-landed near Niamey, Niger Republic according to Nigerian aviation officials.

The aircraft was enroute to Kano from Slovakia where it had gone for a C-check when it lost contact with air traffic controllers in Niamey.
 
The aircraft which had on board Jamil Abubakar, the first son of Nigeria’s Inspector General of Police crash-landed on its belly in Ganla.

The pilot and co-pilot are said to have survived.
