The students of Bowen University in Iwo, Osun State, are not happy. Just last year, the university authorities decided to increase their school fees. But it seems the increase wasn't justified as the university, according to a student AdlekChills Blog spoke to, has "timetable for food, electricity and water supply".

I confirmed from the same student that the school fees was increased from N485,000 to N520,000.

The angry students vandalised Reverend Akinsola, their chaplain’s home, smashed cars and caused mayhem all over the campus.

Unconfired report says that the Vice Chancellor’s car was vandalised.

The school security personnel reportedly fled while the students were on rampage but the police and soldiers came to calm things down. Presently, there is no security personnel in any of the hostels.

The situtation has been calmed but owners of shops are not happy, as some students used the opportuinity to steal goods. I comfired from my source that they are raining curses on those who stole.

Students are now preparing to leave the school premises as the school may be shut down for a while.
