Ex-presidential candidate, Chief Olu Falae who lost his son, Deji, commissioner for culture and tourism in Ondo State in the ill-fated Associated Aviation air mishap has said death would have spared his son and taken him away instead. Falae muttered the name Deji intermittently as sympathizers gathered around him in his Oba-Ile residence, to condole with him on the sad event.

While the sympathizers were also urging him to
take heart and take the incident as an act of God, the bereaved former secretary to the government of the federation and finance minister described his son’s death as a devastating calamity.

Responding to the sympathizers in Yoruba, Falae said, “E se o, a o ni fi iru e gba a o, meaning, “Thank you, it will not be a reciprocal.”

Meanwhile, the Chief of Staff to the state governor, Dr. Kola Ademujimi has led the state delegates to the families of three other state government officials who died in the crash.
The three others victims are: Bernard Daji, Mrs. Elizabeth Alabi and Afolabi. The state government has declared three days fasting and praying mourning session in the state in respect of the people that lost their lives in the plane crash.
